205 Indian workers at the 'Grand Textile' factory in Ijevan have been on strike since August 6, demanding three months of unpaid wages. Today, they held another protest with the same demand.

Auroranews contacted the police regarding the incident, where they stated: 'On August 6, one of the participants in the protest reported to the community police department in Ijevan about alleged offenses. In particular, it involves physical and psychological pressure exerted by the factory manager/lead, as well as possible failure to fulfill obligations under the employment contract.' The report and accompanying documents have been sent to the Territorial Investigation Body.'

From the Investigative Committee, Auroranews was informed: 'Criminal proceedings have been initiated based on the report under Article 194, part 2, point 6, of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia, Article 195, part 1, and Article 335, part 1, of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia.'
