High Risk Fire Hazard Situation Expected

The Ministry of Environment of Armenia informs that the Hydro-Meteorological and Monitoring Center of the Ministry of Environment states: From August 10 to 15, a high level of fire hazard is expected in the Ararat Valley, the foothills of Vayots Dzor, Aragatsotn, and Kotayk, in the valleys of Syunik, and in Yerevan.

In such conditions, it is recommended not to burn grass or waste in open areas, to avoid using fire in forests, and not to leave glass bottles or other objects in nature that can ignite from sunlight. If you notice smoking or burning areas, please notify the relevant services (911).
