Ukraine's Future Cannot Be Decided Without Ukrainians and Europe: Macron

French President Emmanuel Macron stated that Ukraine's future cannot be determined without the involvement of Ukrainians and Europe, who have been fighting for their freedom and security for more than three years.

He added that Europeans will also definitely participate in resolving this issue.

Macron disclosed that he had a phone conversation with his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky, as well as with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz and UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer. During these discussions, the upcoming meeting between Russian autocrat Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump was addressed.

It is worth noting that their meeting is scheduled for August 15 in Alaska. Earlier, Trump announced that the peace agreement between Ukraine and the Russian Federation would involve territorial exchanges that Kyiv must agree to, but he did not reveal any details.

Later, Zelensky stated that he disagreed with Trump's terms.
