This Project Gives Armenia a Railway Connection with Russia, Which We Haven't Had for 30 Years: Pashinyan
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan answered media questions today after a trilateral meeting that took place in Washington yesterday.
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, and U.S. President Donald Trump reached an agreement on the "Trump Route."
"The Trump Route" is an investment program stemming from the "Peace Crossroads" project. According to Pashinyan, the U.S. officially recognizes the project and is interested in making investments.
"This project is fully in accordance with the interests of the region. Iran receives a railway opportunity from the Persian Gulf to the Black Sea. Russia also receives railway connectivity to Iran through our region. With this project, Armenia gains a railway connection with Russia, which we haven't had for 30 years," he added.
