India Supports Armenia-Azerbaijan Relations Normalization
India has expressed support for the normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan. Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan spoke by phone with Indian Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar. This information was reported by the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
“The Indian Foreign Minister congratulated on this important milestone and expressed support for the normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan. The willingness of both parties to develop cooperation in bilateral and international platforms has been reaffirmed,” the statement said.
It is noteworthy that during the night, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev signed a joint declaration consisting of seven points, stating their desire for peace without providing further details. The document was also signed by U.S. President Donald Trump.
