Aliyev and Erdogan Discuss the Normalization Process between Armenia and Azerbaijan
The President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, had a phone conversation with the President of the Republic of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, as reported by the Azerbaijani leader's press service.
During the conversation, satisfaction was expressed regarding the development of relations based on brotherhood and strategic alliance between Azerbaijan and Turkey in various fields.
The importance of the documents signed during President Ilham Aliyev's visit to the United States was noted, particularly the declaration signed by the President of Azerbaijan and the Prime Minister of Armenia under the instructions of the U.S. President, the pre-signing of the agreement on establishing peace and inter-state relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia, and the joint call regarding the dissolution of the OSCE Minsk Group in ensuring long-term peace and stability in the region.
The Azerbaijani leader highly appreciated President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's and brotherly Turkey's role in the normalization process between Armenia and Azerbaijan and expressed gratitude for it.
