The Armenian Ministry of Internal Affairs reports: "On the morning of August 5, a woman from the village of Taperakan called the operational management center of the Ararat police and reported that her gold jewelry had been stolen from her home. The report was forwarded to the Criminal Police Department of the Ararat Regional Administration, from where an operational group was dispatched to the scene.

The homeowner explained that she had been absent from home, and the door was not locked. Upon her return, she noticed that a gold chain and earrings were missing from her bedroom wardrobe. According to her, the damage amounted to 650,000 AMD. A criminal case has been initiated in the Vedi investigative division, and operational-search measures have been taken.

As a result, information was obtained that the theft was committed by a 29-year-old woman from the same village. She was located and presented to the preliminary investigation body, where she confessed that she had stolen the jewelry around 5:30 AM on August 5. The stolen items were also recovered; they had been pawned at a branch of a bank in Artashat."
