Temperature to Gradually Decrease by 4-6 Degrees Until the Night of August 11

In the territory of the Republic of Armenia, weather today is expected to be rain-free, with brief rain and thunderstorms forecasted for individual regions from August 9 to 12. From August 8 to 12, strong winds of 15-18 m/s are anticipated in the evening hours in Armavir, Kotayk, and the foothills of Aragatsotn.

The air temperature is expected to gradually decrease by 4-6 degrees until the night of August 11, and by 2-4 degrees during the day on the 9th and 11th.

"Due to the influx of tropical warm air from the south, high temperatures are expected on August 8 in the Ararat Plain, the foothills of Vayots Dzor, the valleys of Syunik, and Yerevan, with the temperature reaching +39 to +41 degrees Celsius from 16:00 to 17:00. In these areas, as well as in the foothills of Aragatsotn and Kotayk, a high fire danger situation is also anticipated over the next five days," states the report from the Hydro-Meteorological and Monitoring Center of the RA Ministry of Emergency Situations.

In Yerevan, rain-free weather is expected on August 8 and 12. Brief rain and thunderstorms may occur in certain parts of the city on August 9-11 during the evening hours, with stronger winds of 14-18 m/s expected during thunderstorms and in the evening.
