This is a serious deal that we signed today: Nikol Pashinyan
The preliminary signing of the peace agreement will pave the way to end decades-long conflict between our countries and open a new era based on complete respect for each other's sovereignty and territorial integrity. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said this during a meeting at the White House with US President Donald Trump and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.
“Today we have reached an important milestone in Armenia-Azerbaijan relations. We are laying the groundwork for writing a better story than the one from the past,” the Prime Minister stated.
Nikol Pashinyan emphasized that this is a serious deal that was signed today. “This is a success for our countries, the region, and the world, as a more peaceful region means a safer world. In one sentence, it can be characterized like this: power that leads to peace,” said the Prime Minister.
Earlier it was reported that after the trilateral meeting, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, President Donald Trump, and President Ilham Aliyev signed a declaration regarding Trump’s path toward international welfare and peace.
Following the meeting, Pashinyan made a post, stating, “The future is today. Glory to the martyrs and long live the Republic of Armenia.”
