Construction Work Resumes at Amulsar

Active construction work is currently underway in the Amulsar area, with 10 contracting companies involved in completing various infrastructure projects at the mine. This was reported by Lydian Armenia on their Facebook page.

The company reaffirmed its commitment to carry out the construction and operation of the mine in accordance with international best practices in environmental management and occupational safety, as it has done in the past.

Lydian Armenia expressed confidence that the operation of the Amulsar mine will have significant importance for the future economic development of Armenia, particularly for the communities surrounding Amulsar.

It was noted that, particularly under the current international market prices for gold, the company plans to pay between $100 million to $120 million annually in taxes and royalties during its operational phase. Approximately 1,000 direct jobs and around 5,000 indirect jobs are expected to be created, with predictions showing that GDP will increase by an additional 1%.
