Changes to Receiving Free Medications in Armenia

Starting from September 2025, according to the changing regulations, citizens will have the opportunity to receive free and reimbursable medications for a period of 3 months from polyclinic facilities (as well as certain medical institutions). This is reported by the Ministry of Health of Armenia.

Medications intended for the treatment of periodic diseases, phenylketonuria, pituitary dwarfism, multiple sclerosis, mental illnesses, and epilepsy will be available for free in the necessary quantity for 3 months, regardless of social status. Additionally, medications for cardiovascular diseases, ulcer diseases, thyroid gland diseases, joint diseases, and others (as per the list) can also be provided for a necessary quantity of 3 months, depending on the relevant social status,” the statement mentions.

Previously, patients were receiving medications for only 1 month.
