Two SUVs Enter Lake Sevan During Vardavar Celebration, Polluting Its Waters

The Eco-Inspectorate Service of the Ministry of Environment has released a statement regarding the incident of two "UAZ" vehicles entering Lake Sevan during the Vardavar celebration and polluting its waters.

A video was submitted to the official page of the Eco-Inspectorate Service on Facebook by a user, showing how two individuals drove "UAZ" brand vehicles into Lake Sevan from one of the beaches in the Karchaghbyur community of the Gegharkunik region.

Thanks to joint efforts by the Kotayk and Gegharkunik regional departments of the Eco-Inspectorate Service and the Vardenis division of the Police Criminal Investigation Department, the identities of the violators were established. They were summoned to the police station and confessed to the violation.

Relevant reports have been filed on the matter, and the materials have been sent to the Environmental and Nature Protection Ministry.
