The So-Called 'Zangezur Corridor' Project Threatens Iran's National Interests: Moghadam
Amir Moghadam, a member of the Iranian Parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Commission, views the so-called 'Zangezur Corridor' project as a threat to Iran's national interests.
"This project is being attempted by Azerbaijan with the support of the United States and Israel," he said. "The issue of launching the so-called Zangezur Corridor has not yet been resolved, but the Americans are closely monitoring it and are trying to implement this project as quickly as possible. It could become a direct threat to regional security and Iran's interests," Moghadam added.
The parliament member stated that the Iranian parliament must utilize all possible means to prevent this. In his opinion, the main responsibility for obstructing this project lies with the Iranian government, which must actively engage in diplomacy to thwart the intentions of Iran's enemies.
Advisor to Iran's Supreme Leader, Ali Akbar Velayati, also declared that the opening of the so-called 'Zangezur Corridor' would trap Iran and Russia in a land blockade.
