Son of Armenian MP Sergey Bagratyan Interrogated by Investigative Committee
The son of the Armenian National Assembly MP Sergey Bagratyan has been interrogated by the Investigative Committee of Armenia. He currently holds the status of a witness, as reported by the 'Zhoghovurd' newspaper.
According to the newspaper, during his interrogation at the Committee, Bagratyan's son revealed that he had visited Noravank with his 40-day-old baby, wife, parents, and relatives. On their way back from the monastery complex, both the newborn and his mother felt unwell. He stated that after reaching his parental home, he parked the car near the entrance to allow the baby and his mother to enter the house quickly.
At that moment, a citizen approached his vehicle and expressed dissatisfaction over the fact that Shant had parked directly in front of the entrance. He and his nephew, David, explained the situation, but the citizen continued to complain.
David, Shant's friend, approached the citizen to talk with him. The conversation escalated into an argument, which led to a scuffle, prompting police to arrive and detain everyone involved.
As for the citizen's testimony, he reportedly urged the MP’s son to remove the car from its parking spot. During the investigation, he mentioned that he became irritated upon seeing the parked vehicle, after which the conversation intensified, resulting in a physical altercation.
