Alen Simonyan and the CP Member File a Lawsuit Against Vazgen Saghatelyan

Members of the "Civil Contract" faction have filed a lawsuit against Vazgen Saghatelyan, co-author of the "I’m With You" podcast. This information has become available through the "Datalex" judicial information system.

Parliament Speaker Alen Simonyan and MP Arusyak Manavazyan have presented claims against Saghatelyan. The Speaker of the National Assembly is demanding compensation for damages due to defamation. The lawsuit stems from one of the latest episodes of the podcast, where Saghatelyan shared certain details about Simonyan and other MPs from the ruling "Civil Contract" party's personal lives.

Arusyak Manavazyan is also demanding a retraction of the statements made and compensation amounting to 1 million drams.

It is noteworthy that during this episode, Saghatelyan mentioned that he has never had the desire to reveal details of someone's personal life, but after the authorities' active assaults against high-ranking clergy, including the Catholicos of All Armenians, he felt compelled to expose the nature of the authorities.
