Prosecutor's Office Appeals Acquittal of Man Who Threw Apple at Prime Minister Pashinyan

The Prosecutor's Office has appealed the acquittal of Albert Arstamyan, who threw an apple at Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. This was announced by his lawyer, Roman Yeritsyan, on his Facebook page.

According to him, the appeal has been assigned to Judge Vache Margaryan, and a court hearing is scheduled for September 17.

It is worth recalling that Prime Minister Pashinyan visited the home of one of his relatives at 2 Rubinyants St. in Yerevan last August, where a resident threw an apple at him from the window. Albert Arstamyan, 74, was charged under part 1 of Article 297 of the Criminal Code of Armenia (hooliganism).

On April 11, the court issued an acquittal, stating that it did not find sufficient evidence of the crime attributed to Albert Nikolai Arstamyan.
