Israel Aims to Transfer Control of Gaza to Arab Forces

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has announced that Israel does not intend to govern the Gaza Strip and seeks to transfer control of the territory to Arab forces.

"We do not want to govern the Gaza Strip. We want to hand it over to Arab forces that will govern it properly, without threatening us and ensuring a good life for the people of Gaza," Netanyahu stated in an interview with Fox News.

He emphasized that Israel does not wish to retain control over the Gaza Strip, but intends to establish a "security perimeter." Netanyahu added that the implementation of such a plan is "impossible during Hamas's rule."
