Brazilian President Wants to Discuss Tariffs with BRICS Leaders
Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva has announced plans to call the leaders of India and China to discuss a joint response from BRICS to U.S. tariffs, as reported by Reuters.
U.S. President Donald Trump signed an executive order on July 30, raising tariffs on Brazilian goods to 50%, but a list of 700 exceptions has been presented in strategic sectors such as aircraft manufacturing, energy, and partially agriculture.
