US Secondary Sanctions Against Russia May Be Imposed on Friday
US secondary sanctions against Russia may be imposed on Friday, according to a report by Reuters citing White House press secretary. The US has previously threatened to impose a 100% tariff on goods imported from Russia and to establish secondary sanctions against countries purchasing Russian oil if Moscow and Kyiv fail to reach an agreement on a ceasefire.
At the same time, US President Donald Trump has stated that he is not sure if such tariffs would impact Russia. Today, Trump signed an executive order imposing an additional 25% tariff on oil imported from India for purchases from Russia.
