Israel Finds Itself in the Dock While Fighting for Its Survival, Gideon Sa’ar

“The world has turned upside down while Hamas operates its propaganda machine,” said Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar. “A world where Israel finds itself in the dock while fighting for its survival has a name. It is called anti-Semitism,” he added.

During a meeting of the UN Security Council, Israel's Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar accused Russia, other members of the council, and international media of spreading “a large number of lies” and disinformation against Israel, according to Euronews.

He noted that members of Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad do not feed hostages, while they “enjoy meat, fish, and vegetables.” Sa’ar stated that his country allows “large-scale aid” to flow into the besieged area and accused Hamas of looting.

The Israeli chief diplomat claimed that the group steals food, medicine, and other essential goods and uses them as “a financial tool” for selling and making a profit. Earlier, UN Secretary-General’s spokesman Stéphane Dujarric denied these claims, stating that there is no evidence to support them.

Sa’ar simultaneously accused Palestinians of “fabricating terrorism,” while blaming Hamas for wanting to continue the war instead of seeking a ceasefire with Israel.
