Who is Romanos Petrosyan Dismissing from Work? What is the Condition for Staying at HEC?

According to information from the newspaper 'Zhoghovurd', the manager of HEC, Romanos Petrosyan, is dismissing the heads of HEC in all cities of Armenia. It has been communicated to the leaders of HEC in nearly all consolidated communities in the regions to submit their resignations. The condition for remaining in their positions is that they must work with the authorities during the 2026 parliamentary elections; if they refuse, they must submit their resignation letters.

The newspaper has attempted to clarify this information with HEC manager Romanos Petrosyan, who responded: 'It is nonsense. Generally, those who do not see themselves in this whole process tend to leave, or perhaps weren’t entirely honest with their employer, and also with the state during the previous phase. Therefore, I do not see them in the temporary management period of HEC, or simply, due to differences in worldview and values, I express distrust. Everything is done within the framework of the Labor Code, the laws on 'LLCs' of the Republic of Armenia, and the unwritten moral norms,' said Petrosyan.
