HAMAS Movement Ready to Release All Israeli Hostages
The Hamas movement, which governs the Gaza Strip, is prepared to release all Israeli hostages and commence negotiations for a comprehensive resolution to the conflict, reports the Emirati newspaper The National.
According to sources from the newspaper, a draft for a comprehensive agreement regarding Gaza is currently under discussion. The talks involve, on one side, the United States and Israel, and on the other side, mediators from Egypt and Qatar, with communications taking place both remotely and in Doha and Cairo.
"Hamas is open to negotiations for a comprehensive agreement regarding Gaza that would end the war in the Palestinian enclave and release all hostages held by it," the statement reads.
The content of the discussions has not yet been made public, but sources indicate they wish to conclude talks during the proposed 60-day ceasefire period.
It is worth noting that just a few days ago, Hamas announced that it was ready to resume negotiations to halt the armed conflict with Israel if hunger in Gaza stopped. The movement has declared that it does not intend to lay down arms as long as the Israeli occupation continues.
