Call to Recognize Palestine in the U.S. Congress

More than a dozen Democratic members of the U.S. House of Representatives have called on President Donald Trump’s administration to recognize the state of Palestine.

“We urge other governments that have not yet recognized Palestinian statehood, including the United States, to do the same,” the statement reads.

Democratic Congressman Al Green from Texas, who signed the letter, plans to introduce a resolution in Congress affirming the right of Palestine to exist as a state.
