Temperatures Expected to Reach +41 Degrees in Yerevan and 3 Regions

From August 3 to 7, dry weather is expected across the territory of the Republic of Armenia. This was reported by the Hydro-Meteorological and Monitoring Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Armenia.

"Due to the influx of tropical hot air from the south, a high thermal background is anticipated in the Ararat Valley, the foothills of Vayots Dzor, the valleys of Syunik, and in Yerevan from August 3 to 7; during the daytime, temperatures are expected to reach +39 to +41 degrees Celsius between 16:00 and 17:00. In these areas, as well as in the foothills of Aragatsotn and Kotayk, high fire danger is also expected over the next five days," the statement reads.

The wind will be from the west at a speed of 2-5 m/s. Until the evening of August 7, a wind increase is expected in Armavir, the foothills of Kotayk and Aragatsotn, with speeds of 15-18 m/s.

The air temperature is not expected to change significantly. In Yerevan, from August 3 to 7, dry weather is anticipated. In the evenings, a wind increase is expected with speeds of 14-18 m/s.
