NATO Considers Establishing German-Dutch Corps in Estonia
NATO is considering the possibility of establishing a German-Dutch corps in Estonia. This was announced by the country's Minister of Defense, Hanno Pevkur.
The corps may be stationed in the city of Pärnu, with a decision to be made this year.
“This specific plan is currently linked to what is called the broader NATO plan, which includes the German-Dutch corps that covers our area of responsibility and their primary command post. This pertains to both our allies who command at the corps level, as well as, of course, our own military personnel and conscripts. This is very important from the perspective of defense forces,” Pevkur stated.
