Putin on the Main Issue of Resolving the Ukraine Conflict

If Kyiv believes that now is not the time for negotiations, Moscow is ready to wait. This was stated by President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin during a press conference following a meeting with the President of Belarus, as reported by RIA Novosti.

“Well, generally speaking, we can wait. If the leadership of Ukraine believes that now is not the time, and if we have to wait, then please, we are ready to wait,” said the Russian President while commenting on Zelensky's statements that there is no point in negotiating right now and that it is necessary to wait until there is a change in the regime in Russia.

According to him, the main issue in Ukrainian resolution is the elimination of the causes of the conflict. “The main thing is to eliminate the causes of this crisis,” noted the Russian President.
