China Divided Over Ukraine Conflict: Foreign Affairs
Despite many Chinese officials wanting the war in Ukraine to end, Beijing is unlikely to play a leading role in resolving the conflict and achieving sustainable peace, primarily due to its "dual" approach on the matter. This is reported by Foreign Affairs.
According to the publication, more than three years after the war began, representatives of Chinese strategic associations, including officials from foreign policy and security agencies, researchers, and experts, remain divided on who is to blame and how Beijing's leadership should respond.
