Tehran's Nuclear Program Issue is Merely a Pretext: The Struggle is Against Iran, Says Ali Khamenei

The issues surrounding uranium enrichment and Tehran's nuclear program are merely a pretext for opposing Iran, stated Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, as reported by RIA Novosti.

"What the West refers to as 'nuclear enrichment,' 'human rights,' and so on, is a pretext to fight against Iran's faith and science," Khamenei said.

Additionally, the Chief of Staff of the Islamic Republic's Armed Forces, General-Lieutenant Abdulrahim Mousavi, declared: "We do not trust the words and promises of the United States and the Zionist regime (Israel); we are fully prepared to repel their attacks in the future."
