New Bill in Ukraine: Citizens Over 60 Will Again Serve
Ofelya
Vladimir Zelensky has signed a new bill that raises the maximum age for military service to 60 years. This was published on the website of the Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada, as reported by Ria Novosti.
Additionally, Verkhovna Rada member Irina Gerashchenko noted that this will allow individuals who have already reached the age of 60 to sign military service contracts. According to her, the text of the law does not clearly specify who will approve the candidates for contractual service, which creates a possibility for abuses or selective decisions.
