Macrons Sue Host for Accusing Brigitte of Gender Transition: Details

Recently, French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife, Brigitte Macron, have filed a defamation lawsuit against conservative commentator Candace Owens in the United States. The 22-point lawsuit was submitted to a Delaware court, seeking compensation for false allegations that Brigitte Macron may be a man.

Macron's attorney, Tom Clare, informed CNN that they have repeatedly requested cessation of these publications over the past year, but Owens has refused, prompting them to take legal action.

Owens has promoted this thesis in several videos on her YouTube channel, which boasts 4.5 million subscribers, including a series titled “Becoming Brigitte.” She has even sold merchandise related to this topic.

The lawsuit states that these accusations have caused “serious economic damage” to the Macrons and disturbed their private life: “It is humiliating and unjust,” the document reads.

Candace Owens responded on Instagram and YouTube, stating that this is a “desperate and theatrical move” by the Macrons.

The lawsuit demands financial penalties against Owens and her media companies for defamation and spreading false information.

The Élysée Palace has stated that the matter is “personal” and will not provide official commentary.

It is worth noting that earlier reports indicated that Emmanuel Macron and his wife had filed a lawsuit against the host.
