Iran's Foreign Ministry Calls Trump's Accusations Unfounded
Iran is not attempting to influence the negotiation process surrounding the establishment of a ceasefire in Gaza, and rather, U.S. President Donald Trump's statements are aimed at evading responsibility for supporting the actions of the Israeli authorities. This was stated by the official representative of the Islamic Republic's Foreign Ministry, Esmail Baghaei.
“Any statement regarding the Islamic Republic’s interference in the negotiation process is absolutely unfounded and an attempt to evade responsibility for the complicity of the U.S. in the crimes of the Zionist regime (Israel). In recent months, the intensification of the blockade of Gaza, the cessation of humanitarian aid deliveries to the enclave's residents, the killings of the starving who are tormented by their thirst, and the deadly traps created in the so-called aid distribution points established by an American company,” he said.
The Iranian diplomat noted that the Islamic Republic, like most countries in the world, strongly condemns the genocide occurring in Gaza and supports any initiative that would lead to the cessation of hostilities and the improvement of conditions for Palestinians in the enclave.
