Health Condition of Supporter of the 'Sacred Struggle' Movement Deteriorates Sharply

The health condition of Aghvan Arshakyan, a supporter of the 'Sacred Struggle' movement, has sharply worsened in the 'Armavir' penitentiary. This was reported by Sputnik Armenia's correspondent, citing his lawyer Varazdat Harutyunyan.

"There are functional impairments in his extremities—he is unable to move either his hands or feet. He suffers from dizziness, and at this moment, he is already incapable of performing basic daily actions independently, such as dressing or bathing. His health issues are a consequence of cancer. Arshakyan has previously overcome cancer, but receiving appropriate medical examinations and necessary care under detention conditions is impossible," Harutyunyan stated.

He emphasized that keeping a person in such a health condition in detention could pose a serious threat to their life and health.
