Damage Caused to State's Legal Interests: Criminal Police Disclosure

As a result of operational-investigative measures carried out by the Criminal Police's Organized Crime Control Department, factual data regarding significant material damage inflicted on the state between 2016 and 2022 has been obtained.

The expert-appraiser at the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure's "Property Valuation and Auction Center", during his tenure from 2016 to 2022, allegedly acted against state interests for selfish or other motives, incorporating false information into appraisal reports for 15 real estate properties valued at over 1 billion 300 million drams, which are state and community property.

Consequently, these properties were appraised at a disproportionately low value—just over 300 million drams—resulting in substantial damage to the state's legal interests amounting to 1 billion 12 million 209 thousand drams.

The documents prepared have been sent to the Anti-Corruption Committee. Criminal proceedings have been initiated on the grounds of official negligence, with circumstances being clarified during the preliminary investigation.
