Medvedev Responds to Trump's New Deadline for Ceasefire in Ukraine
Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev has stated on his X social media page that U.S. President Donald Trump is playing a "game of ultimatums" with Russia.
"He should remember two things. 1. Russia is not Israel or even Iran. 2. Every new ultimatum is a threat and a step towards war. Not between Russia and Ukraine, but with his own country. Do not follow Sleepy Joe's footsteps," wrote the Deputy Chairman of the Security Council.
On July 28, Trump announced that he had decided to shorten the deadline for reaching an agreement in Ukraine to 10-12 days. The White House leader indicated that "there is no reason to wait" until September 3, as the United States does not see any progress in the negotiations.
