Go Water the Garden, Because We Will Be Held Responsible Later: Avinyan
The Mayor of Yerevan, Tigran Avinyan, has addressed the condition of gardens not under the municipality's jurisdiction, specifically the garden located in front of the Conservatory.
"The Conservatory garden, which is under long-term lease, is currently involved in legal proceedings. The prolonged delays in judicial processes are causing these gardens to start drying out. I urge you, regardless of whether it is leased or not, go water the garden, because we will be held responsible later," he stated.
He instructed that the garden should be watered, despite it not being under their control and being involved in judicial proceedings. "Regardless of whether there are legal proceedings or not, damage is being done to the city, and we need to look at the continuation from a legal perspective. They are fighting in every way to keep the garden, but is the goal to let the garden dry out? If that is the goal, then there should be consequences for them for not following through, because this is direct damage to citizens. They are harming us, the residents of Yerevan, and they must be punished. So, you go and water the garden," he added.
