Attempts on Lives of 23 Senior Officials in Iran Prevented
Iranian intelligence services have thwarted attempts on the lives of 23 senior officials during a 12-day conflict with Israel. This was stated in a declaration by the Iranian Ministry of Intelligence, which was released as a result of the Iran-Israel conflict.
“We managed to uncover and neutralize the terrorist plans of the Israeli regime aimed at assassinating 23 senior officials of the country during the 12-day war, as well as 13 similar conspiracies planned before the war, the uncovering of which led to the prevention of the assassination of 35 senior civilian and military officials,” the document states.
Iranian intelligence agents also prevented the entry of at least 450 foreign militants into Iran during the escalation of the conflict with Israel in June. “We have managed to identify the location of 300 foreign terrorists near the southeastern border of the country, who were preparing to infiltrate Iran, as well as to halt their further movements,” the agency noted.
