Russia Strikes Ukrainian Armed Forces Training Ground with Iskander Missiles
The Russian armed forces have struck the training ground of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Chernihiv region. Ukrainian media reports confirm this information.
It is noted that the training camp of the 169th training center of the strategic reserve ground forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces was located there. According to military correspondents, the target was hit by two Iskander missiles, one of which had a cluster warhead. As a result of the strike, up to 200 servicemen of the Ukrainian Armed Forces were reportedly destroyed.
Reports indicate that there were personnel losses, with three servicemen confirmed dead and 18 others injured. The publication mentions that the command of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and ground forces is preparing to implement additional security measures to prevent similar potential attacks on training grounds and educational centers.
Earlier, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that Iskander missiles had destroyed the control center for Ukrainian long-range strike drones in the Sumy region. At the same time, it was noted that the decision for targeted strikes was made only after confirming the targets. Additionally, on June 23, Russian fighter jets were able to strike an educational center intended for Ukrainian servicemen near Sumy city using the Iskander missile system, resulting in the destruction of up to 100 militants.
