Aeroflot's System Recovery May Take Up to Six Months, Damage Estimated at $10-50 Million

Following a hacker attack, the recovery of Aeroflot's systems may take up to six months, according to information security expert Alexey Kozlov in an interview with RIA Novosti.

Full stabilization could take as long as one year if the infrastructure is severely compromised and backups are unavailable. The damage to the company from this cyberattack is estimated to be between $10 million and $50 million.

It should be noted that Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the President of Russia, expressed that reports of alleged attacks by hacker groups on Aeroflot's infrastructure are quite concerning.
