Two Earthquakes Occur in Russia Within Minutes

Two significant earthquakes have struck Kamchatka, with residents of the region feeling tremors of up to three on the Richter scale, reported the regional office of Russia's Ministry of Emergency Situations.

“The first aftershock occurred 182 km east of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky at a depth of 16 km. Its magnitude was measured at 5.9. Residents of the regional center felt it at a strength of 2-3,” the agency stated.

The second aftershock occurred just minutes later, 179 km from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky at a depth of 22 km, with a magnitude of 6.0. This tremor was also felt at a strength of 2-3,” the agency added.
