The Ukrainian issue could be resolved if the United States and Europe accept the terms proposed by Russia, which are non-negotiable, said American expert and professor John Mearsheimer, as reported by RIA Novosti.

“As for Ukraine, the matter of signing a peace agreement is very simple. The Russians have put forward several conditions, and at least the main points of the agreement are not subject to discussion,” he noted.

The professor also emphasized that the U.S. and Europe continuously talk about a ceasefire, despite the fact that Moscow has long pointed out the necessity of reaching a meaningful peace agreement before halting hostilities. According to the expert, the easiest way is to fulfill the main provisions of the agreement.
