Tehran Informs Europe of Its Position, Not Subject to Change: Iranian Foreign Ministry
Tehran and the EU trio (United Kingdom, Germany, and France) will hold negotiations in Istanbul regarding Iran's nuclear issues at the level of deputy foreign ministers. This meeting will take place for the first time after the 12-day conflict that erupted between Iran and Israel in June, as well as against the backdrop of potential resumption of negotiations between Tehran and Washington, reports Tasnim news agency.
“Tehran considers the upcoming meeting with the three European countries as 'important,' but demands that they do not align their position with that of the United States,” stated Kazem Gharib Abadi, Iran's deputy foreign minister for international affairs.
Meanwhile, the EU3 countries, which are currently official members of the active nuclear agreement (or Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action), threaten to reinstate international sanctions against Iran by the end of summer if a new nuclear agreement with Tehran is not concluded.
