Major Forest Fires in Turkey Prompt Mass Evacuations

Forest fires continue to rage in Turkey, having reached the resort city of Antalya as well as the districts of Aksu, Muratpaşa, and Manavgat, according to Hürriyet newspaper.

In Antalya, two separate fires have been registered. Firefighting aircraft and helicopters are being deployed to combat the flames. Extensive ground and aerial operations are underway in the Muratpaşa area to extinguish the escalating fire.

In the Karabük region, residents of 14 villages have been evacuated. The Turkish Ministry of Emergency Situations is working in an intensified mode, taking all necessary measures to contain and extinguish the fires.
