Five More Flower Producers Granted Export Permission: Food Safety Inspectorate
The Food Safety Inspectorate and the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance of the Russian Federation (Rosselkhoznadzor) have conducted joint online supervision measures at Armenian greenhouse flower enterprises, resulting in the authorization for five more organizations (approximately 18 hectares) to export flowers to the Russian Federation. The Food Safety Inspectorate reports that a total of 14 companies have now been granted permission to export their flowers.
It should be noted that Russia had previously banned the export of flowers from Armenia, claiming that infected flowers were entering their market. Additionally, according to Rosselkhoznadzor, Armenian exporters were cooperating with fake companies registered in Russia, resulting in flowers being sold without tax payments.
