Washington Calls on Russia and Ukraine

Washington urges Moscow and Kyiv to continue direct negotiations for a complete ceasefire and peaceful resolution. This was stated by Tommy Pigott, the Deputy Spokesperson for the State Department, during a recent press briefing.

“I can say that we continue to facilitate direct negotiations between Russia and Ukraine with the aim of achieving a comprehensive ceasefire and, ultimately, a negotiated peaceful resolution,” he said.

It is worth noting that the third round of negotiations between Russia and Ukraine took place in Istanbul, where the parties reached an agreement on the exchange of prisoners of war as well as civilians.
