UN Responds to Aliyev's Statement Regarding Armenia

The United Nations Secretariat has published a message from the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, on the topic "Return to Western Azerbaijan as a Key Condition for the Supremacy of Human Rights." This was reported by APA.az.

“President Ilham Aliyev’s dissemination of the aforementioned call, who has consistently kept the issue of Western Azerbaijan on the international agenda, as an official UN document, plays an important role in increasing international support for the return to Western Azerbaijan as a human rights issue. The community of Western Azerbaijan will continue its efforts to gain international support for the peaceful, secure, and dignified return of the Azerbaijani people. The community demands that the government of Armenia create conditions for the residents of Western Azerbaijan to return to their homes, in accordance with the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and other relevant international conventions,” the article states.
