The United States to Develop Clear Plan to Release Hostages in Gaza
Ofelya
The United States will withdraw its negotiating team from Doha and explore alternative ways to secure the release of Israeli hostages held in the Gaza Strip. This was announced by U.S. Special Envoy Stephen Vitkof on X.
“We have decided to recall our team from Doha for consultations following Hamas's recent response, which clearly shows a lack of willingness to reach a ceasefire in Gaza. We will now discuss alternative options for bringing the hostages home and creating more stable conditions for the people of Gaza,” Vitkof added.
It is worth noting that Vitkof had initiated a visit to the Middle East to attempt to mediate a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.
