Significant Traffic Jam at Lars: Over 1000 Armenian Trucks in Line
More than 1300 Armenian trucks have accumulated near the "Upper Lars" checkpoint on the Russian-Georgian border. It is reported that 3612 vehicles are queued to cross the border, of which 1350 are Armenian.
Travelers may find themselves waiting in line for 4 to 8 hours to cross. The cause of the traffic jam is the large influx of citizens from Russia traveling to Georgia and Armenia for tourism purposes.
