Court Imposes 9 Million Dram Seizure on Arsen Torosyan's Accounts: Hraparak
The court has imposed a seizure of 9 million drams on the accounts of Arsen Torosyan, a member of the National Assembly from the Civil Contract party, at the request of Samvel Karapetyan. This was reported by ‘Hraparak’.
“The latter has filed a lawsuit against Torosyan for defamation and insult, demanding that a security measure be applied to seize his accounts. The motion has been granted. Torosyan stated from the parliamentary podium: ‘I want to comment on two statements, the authors of which seem to have had their posterior cut off in the Lubyanka, in the FSB headquarters. The first one is named Arshak. Now, I will refer to the other hero, namely, Samvel Karapetyan.’” According to Karapetyan's lawyers, this statement contains both insult and defamation.
They are demanding that Torosyan publicly apologize from the same podium and pay compensation for moral damages amounting to 9 million drams. In addition to this lawsuit, the businessman has also filed 9 more legal claims against members of the Civil Contract party, experts, and a website for ‘protecting personal honor, dignity, and business reputation’,” the newspaper wrote.
