Ankara Will Consider It a Threat to Its National Security: Hakan Fidan

“Israel has adopted a policy aimed at weakening the region and keeping it in chaos,” said Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, asserting that if actions in this direction continue, Ankara will intervene.

If groups in Syria move towards division and instability, Ankara will consider it a threat to its national security and will intervene, declared Hakan Fidan.

The warning comes after heightened clashes in the city of Suweida, Syria, last week, which targeted the local Druze minority. To protect them, Israel opened fire towards Syria, also hitting the Ministry of Defense and the presidential residence in Damascus.
