Peskov on Events in Baku and the Azerbaijani Diaspora in Russia

Russia is home to a significant Azerbaijani diaspora. This was stated by Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the President of Russia. "Almost all representatives of the Azerbaijani diaspora are law-abiding citizens who enjoy respect here," Peskov said in response to reporters' questions about whether the recent events in Baku would lead to a rupture in relations between the Russian Federation and Azerbaijan.

Peskov noted that citizens who violate the law are pursued according to the law. It is worth reminding that Azerbaijani groups have been uncovered in Russia that terrorized people, beat them, and instilled fear. This Azerbaijani group also aimed to spread the ideas of Pan-Turkism.
